Just a quick note to keep everyone up to date with the results since our last update:

1st XI

16th June: Beat Wimbledon Village convincingly by 7 wickets, bowling first they cleaned up Village for a reasonable 193 in 39 overs, Priest grabbing three wickets in the process. This was comfortably chased down thanks to a superb 91 not out from the reliable Chris H who grabbed his 5th half century of the season.

23rd June: Lost to Clapham Old Xaverian – Failing to chase 270 and losing by 76 runs (the less said about this the better).

30th June: Beat RPFP’s by 99 runs with a hybrid 1sts/2nds operation. WCCC’s total of 315 was driven by 112 from Rezwan and 48 from Sunny, after a brisk 34 from Gopa at the top of the order. Wickets fell at regular intervals and were shared between most of the bowlers with Prakhar’s standout 8-0-64-3 being indicative of what was a lightning fast outfield and a short boundary.

2nd XI

16th June: Tied with Chipstead, both teams making 143 from their 35 overs. David C’s 63 was the backbone of the Corinthians effort. With 48* from Chipstead skipper Mark Bradley almost seeing them home. Wickets again shared around.

23rd June: Lost to Battersea Badgers by 84 runs after conceding 237-7 in 40 overs Prakhar agian in the wickets with 8-1-38-3. Corinthians runs came from KP 29, Sai 23, Waqas a lusty 33 and Steve an assured 34 not out.
